The variety of birds is extraordinary, some rare, inhabit large areas such as the Bertuzzi Valley and the Valleys of Comacchio: herons, ducks, egrets, avocets, black-winged stilt, cormorants and many others. Comacchio has been chosen as the headquarters of the International Bird-Watching Fair, one of the most popular events of its kind in Italy and Europe.
