Ferrara Balloons Festival is a yearly hot air balloon festival that takes place in Ferrara, Italy and is considered to be one of the largest festivals of hot air ballooning in Europe, with numerous teams from Italy and other parts of the world bringing their traditional or uniquely shaped aircraft. The first festival began in 2005 and has become popular with many visitors every year. For nine days, there will be fun and magic in the skies of Ferrara, all setting off from the Bassani Urban Park just outside the Renaissance city walls of the UNESCO World Heritage City.
Visitors can feel the thrill of flight, and experience other delights linked to the air, tethered balloon flights, kite displays, parachute jumps, aeroplane flights over the city, the Po Delta, and much more.

The highlight of the event will take place on Saturday evening, when a spectacular flight of lighted balloons will colour the dark sky. The festival also features concerts, shows, entertainment and a grand Village of the Air with numerous attractions, shops and food outlets.
Each hot air balloon beautifully crowds the sky of Ferrara during the annual Ferrara Hot-Air Balloon Festival.
